Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in our industry. It’s the one all site managers want to win, and for some, described as the pinnacle of their career.
All site managers are automatically entered into the competition if they are working on a site registered for NHBC warranty. There are no entry fees or forms.
The competition is fully inclusive and representative of the UK house-building industry with four categories for different sized businesses: Small, Medium, Multi-storey and Large.
House building is always a team effort, but we know that the calibre of the site manager has the greatest influence on the quality of the end product. Winning site managers demonstrate incredible dedication, passion, commitment and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality.
We’ve already announced the 2020 Quality Award winners and will shortly announce plans for the rest of this year’s competition. In the meantime, judging for the 2021 competition has begun. So, if you weren’t successful this year, there’s plenty of time to impress and get your name in lights next year.
How the competition works
Do you want to know more about how the competition works, the different stages and the marking criteria? This, as well as information for winning site managers, is all available at the links below…2020 COMPETITION 2021 COMPETITION
You can see who’s won a Quality Award in this year’s competition at the link below. Just 450 site managers from an initial pool of around 11,000 have been chosen to receive this Award. It’s a fantastic achievement and we hope these winners take real PRIDE in their success.
Ordinarily, Quality Award winners are invited to attend our Regional Pride in the Job Awards events in the Autumn when we announce the Seals of Excellence and Regional Awards in each category. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, we are unfortunately unable to run these live events. We’re looking at how we can make sure our winners are recognised appropriately. We’re also working through the next stages of the competition. Please check back here for more news on that.
