About our Premium Rating scheme

We operate a Premium Rating scheme to calculate the Buildmark fee applicable on new homes you register with us each year.

Rewarding quality

The Premium Rating scheme is designed to reward those building good quality homes and encourages others to improve their standards.

The scheme offers an increasing discount subject to your claims history and the time you’ve been registered with us. The better your claims history and the longer you've been with us, the more you'll save.

How we determine your Premium Rating

Fees are determined by a calculation based on these factors:

• Your length of time on the NHBC Register
• How your claims record compares with our national average
