Air leakage testing has been mandatory in England and Wales on a sample of dwellings since 2006, as part of Approved Document L of the Building Regulations. Your building control body will set the testing regime, but in our experience it is typically 10-20% of units on larger sites for Part L 2006. Part L 2010 increases the amount of testing required.
