NHBC's Section 6 Certifier service is RIAS accredited and delivers consistent assessment of housetypes throughout Scotland.  It can speed up the warrant process and save customers 10% off the warrant fee.

We can also advise on developments affected by Scottish Planning Statement 6 (SPP 6) and ensure your solutions meet with the planner's expectations as laid out in Planning Advice Notice 84 (PAN 84).

Regulatory changes and further information 

Besides a 30% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions (compared to 2007 standards), the 2010 building standards introduce the need for post-completion airtightness testing, with effect from 1st October 2010 - ask NHBC about the transitional arrangements.

The Low Carbon Buildings Standards document - often called the Sullivan report - has provided the direction for changes to make Scotland's buildings more energy efficiency in the fight against climate change.  Follow the link for a pdf copy.
