A Consistent Approach to Finishes

An in-depth look at Part 9 of the NHBC Standards. We'll take a look at the challenges encountered with finishes, and draw from our inspection experience in this area. We'll have examples from our claims of where it's gone wrong, to make sure you get it right.

NHBC Buildmark Warranty

The session will explore the Buildmark warranty and take you through the different sections.  In particular, we will look at the detail of the first two years including the NHBC Resolution Service.  The session will also look at the cover that starts in year three.

Scaffold Awareness

Time: 1pm - 30 minute presentation with 15 minutes for Q&A

We will be covering NASC TG20:13, looking at the basic requirements for a TG20 compliant scaffold and the creation and importance of compliance sheets or whether a scaffold design would be required.

Lifting Operations

A brief look at the duties of the Employing Organisation (Principal contractor) during crane activities on site, whether Hired or Contract lift, under the guidance BS7121.

CDM and the role of the Principal Designer

This session will give an overview of CDM and how the role of the Principal Designer has evolved. It will briefly look at how CDM has developed and how successful implementation will contribute to the delivery of a safe project.
