NHBC Standards

The home of technical guidance for NHBC registered builders

Effective for every new home registered with NHBC where foundations were laid on or after 1 January 2018 - Standards 2018 includes a new clause 7.2.24 'Spandrel panels' and Chapter 6.11 'Render and rendering systems'. The online version of Standards 2018, Standards Plus, is freely available online here.

A new online resource showcasing NHBC’s technical experience in offsite and other non-conventional construction

NHBC works with offsite and other non-conventional construction manufacturers to provide assurance that their systems and sub-assemblies are suitable for cover under Buildmark. NHBC also works with builders to ensure the finished home meets NHBC Standards in order for warranty and insurance to be provided on the completed home. Builders and developers using this resource will benefit from NHBC’s experience of these different building systems and will be able to quickly look up which systems NHBC currently accepts.
