Technical Advice
NHBC's Standards & Technical department is responsible for:
- NHBC Standards and updates
- Technical Extra, NHBC's new technical publication
- Standards Extra, now superseded by Technical Extra
- associated technical publications, including 'A consistent approach to finishes' and the 'Good Craftsmanship Guides'
- providing technical information for NHBC staff and the house-building industry
- dealing with technical enquiries
- assessing the suitability of products and building systems for use in homes covered by the Buildmark warranty
- technical research, both in-house and with industry partners
- providing input to work on new regulations and standards, including Building Regulations and British Standards.
