Raising standards to protect homeowners
Best Site Award
Awards will be given to site managers that demonstrate outstanding health and safety management throughout their site. A site will be inspected by NHBC health and safety advisors at least three times over the judging period and will be assessed against a pre-set list of judging criteria.
Best Site Categories*
Best Site - Small Builder (3-50 NHBC registrations per annum)
Best Site - Medium Builder (51-1000 NHBC registrations per annum)
Best Site - Large Builder (1001+ NHBC registrations per annum)
Best Site - Multi-Storey (Multi-Storey is a structure of 4 floors or more for multi-occupancy)
The site being entered must not have reached practical completion before July 2012.
*Please note: It's the number of your annual registrations with us that will determine which category your Best Site entry is allocated to.

There are two ways in which your site(s) can be entered in to the awards:
- Your H&S advisor suggests that you have a site worthy of note and will work with you to complete and submit the entry for you, or,
- You can enter your site(s) by submitting the entry form directly to us.
Judges must be allowed reasonable access to carry out site inspections as necessary - site inspections will be unannounced.
