Moving your belongings
It is worth planning your move in advance as removal firms and vans can be hard to come by at short notice.
If you have a lot to move it is worth using a removal firm who can help pack and unpack your belongings. If possible, obtain quotes from three firms and check that the quotes include VAT and some form of insurance covering damage of goods during transit. Expect to be charged anything upwards of £300.
If you want to move your belongings yourself, contact your local van hire companies and make sure you book a van big enough for large items of furniture.
