Remember to cancel any deliveries such as milk and papers, and to have your post forwarded.

Note: Many utilities companies require some notice before they can connect your gas, electricity, telephone, etc. Make sure you notify them up to 4 weeks in advance that you will be the new owner of the property so you can arrange a convenient date to be connected. Also, read the meters in your old house on the day you leave the property.
