NHBC appoints Stewart Baseley as Chairman of the NHBC Standards Committee

In a further announcement from NHBC today, Stewart Baseley has been appointed as Chairman of the NHBC Standards Committee with immediate effect.

Stewart takes over the position from Tim Hough who sadly passed away in July this year. As Executive Chairman of the HBF, Stewart has 30 years' experience working within the housebuilding industry and brings to the a role strong understanding of the concerns of house builders across the UK and the necessary requirements for standards and regulation in the building of today's sustainable new homes.

NHBC's executive chairman Isabel Hudson said: "I am delighted that Stewart has agreed to take on the chairmanship of the Standards Committee, which performs such an essential role in fulfilling NHBC's key remit of raising standards for homeowners. I know that Stewart will build on Tim's excellent leadership to help us take forward this essential work for the industry."

On his appointment Stewart said: "Standards are vital to ensure we are building the best homes we possibly can and I look forward to working with the NHBC Standards Committee and continuing the excellent work that has gone before."
