The regional winners of the Pride in the Job Awards, run by NHBC (National House-Building Council), beat a shortlist of exceptionally skilled site managers to take the title in their categories. Their success was recognised last Friday (16 September) at a ceremony held at the Hilton Metropole hotel in Brighton. Chosen from over 13,000 site managers nationwide working on projects registered with NHBC, the UK's leading new-home warranty and insurance provider, they will now represent London and the South East at the competition's grand final in January, hoping to secure their place as the nation's best housebuilder. The winners are:

Robert Baldock, of family business Millwood Designer Homes Ltd

Robert won the Small Builder category for his Cooden Place development in Bexhill on Sea; his site beautifully mixes old style with modern construction methods, showing real attention to detail

Jamie Howe, of Hopkins Homes Ltd

Jamie won the Medium Builder category for his work on the Bells Grange development in Braintree; he now has a hat-trick of Pride in the Job wins

Roberto Rosenberger, of St James Group Ltd (St James Developments)

Roberto won the Large Builder category for his Queen Mary's Place build in Roehampton; taking his first regional title, he exemplifies what Pride in the Job is all about, improving standards on site every year

Damian Barden, of Telford Homes (Creekside) Ltd

Damian won the Multistorey Builder category for his work on the Creekside Village West development in Deptford; he is proud to help enhance his companies brand through his build quality and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction

Pride in the Job is the only awards scheme to reward site managers for the unique contribution they make to the housebuilding process, being responsible for delivering high quality homes by directing projects from start to finish.

Steve Catt, NHBC Regional Director, said:

"Pride in the Job has been instrumental in raising the build quality of new homes in the UK for over three decades, with housebuilders now routinely striving for perfection in their work. A Pride in the Job award at any level marks the recipient out as a top performer, showing their true diligence and commitment to producing the best quality homes possible, but to win a Regional title demonstrates something just that little bit special."
