Energy services from NHBC Experts in SAP, EPCs, SBEM and energy- related planning conditions
Energy reports
Increasingly, many local authorities are stipulating energy-related planning conditions.
We provide expert, independent energy reports to help you demonstrate compliance with energy-related planning conditions and, where relevant, Code for Sustainable Homes requirements.
Energy design advice
Designing for energy efficiency in housing is increasingly complex. We can provide expert design advice to help you comply with the requirements of Part L 2010, SAP 2009, the Code for Sustainable Homes and energy-related planning conditions.
SAP energy ratings
Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) is the approved method to calculate the energy efficiency and carbon emissions of new homes to check compliance with current regulations. We can produce your SAP data before works starts on site and your EPCs on completion.
Energy performance certificates
An energy performance certificate (EPC) must be produced for all newly-built or converted homes before building control will issue the final completion certificate. Our expert assessors are accredited to produce EPCs for new build properties.
Section 6 Scotland
We provide SAP ratings and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to help you comply with Building Standards Section 6 as well as advising on SPP 6 and PAN 84. We are accredited Certifiers of Design (Section 6 Energy - Domestic).
Part F Northern Ireland
Part F 2006 requires you to provide details of the proposed energy performance of new homes (through SAP calculations) to your NI building regulations body and then, on completion, to produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
SBEM for commercial buildings
Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) is the only approved method to calculate the energy efficiency and carbon emissions of new commercial buildings to check compliance with current regulations. We can produce your SBEM data before work starts on site and your EPC or DEC on completion.
