How to apply the Regulations and British Standards regarding lifting operations on site
Yours, and others, duties and responsibilities including the supervision needed
Why it’s a requirement to have a defined and recorded safe system of work
The correct use of manufacturers information and crane duty charts
Understand the selection, and use of, lifting accessories including crane selection
How to communicate the requirements to the relevant stakeholders
The most common risks associated with various items of lifting equipment
Recognise the need for competent personnel for all areas of the lifting operations.
On completion of the course and after assessment of your individual competence, you will be able to plan and implement lifting operations safely onsite, following company procedures.
Depending on prior experience, some candidates may need to be supervised/monitored after completion of the course.
