This training course will assist those appointed as Temporary Works Supervisors (TWS) with the management of company procedures for all forms of temporary works they are experiencing.
You will learn about the procedures outlined in BS 5975, including adequate risk management and design of temporary works, and establishing clearly defined roles and responsibilities for the Temporary Works Coodinator (TWC) and TWS.
By the end of the course, you’ll understand what constitutes temporary works, the procedures to follow and appropriate checks to be completed. We will take you through examples of temporary works failures, delegates' experiences, contractual arrangements for TW duties, group exercises to develop risk awareness and discussions to reinforce knowledge.
