NHBC is an independent expert authority on the housing industry. We have around 16,000 builders on our register applying our technical standards, and 1.7 million homes are protected with our home warranty. A third of the entire UK housing stock has been built to NHBC Standards.
We advise and liase with all parliamentarians and policy makers within the UK Government, Westminster Parliament, Welsh Assembly, Scottish Parliament, Northern Ireland Assembly, European Union and all civil servants, to help produce good policies for the benefit of the industry and consumer.
With over 75 years experience and a unique expertise of building and consumer issues, NHBC is well placed to provide specialist knowledge and updates on issues such as the housing market supply, improving quality, customer satisfaction and increasing the environmental efficiency of homes.
We are able to provide NHBC housing statistics to interested parties, well ahead of Government figures - some can be provided on a daily basis. As such, we represent the only source of up-to-date information on new home registrations, completions, and sales.
