If you are registering a new site with us for warranty and insurance cover, please complete a Site Notification and Initial Notice (SNIN) form. If you would like a free, no obligation quote, please complete the guide price form.

When to submit your SNIN

Please submit your SNIN form as far in advance of starting work on site as possible but at the latest:

Standard, non-hazardous sites: 4 weeks before start date

Hazardous or non-traditional sites: 8 weeks before start date

You can send your completed forms to the address below or if you are an NHBC Portal user, you can upload your SNIN directly via the ‘Company Docs’ link.

8 storeys or more?

If your project is a high rise with 8 or more storeys then we class that as a major project and you need to complete and submit our Major Projects Application Form.

What happens next?

If you have any questions, please call us on 0344 633 1000 and ask to speak with one of our Customer Service Advisors.

The process is as follows:

Step 1 We’ll process your SNIN form and generate a site reference number

Step 2 We will ask you to complete a Product Plot Schedule about the plots you’d like to register for warranty

Step 3 We will register your plots and we will issue you with a formal quote for Buildmark cover

Step 4 Once you have paid for Buildmark cover, we will send you confirmation of your policy number(s)

Step 5 We will also send you a link to our Conveyancer Portal, along with activation codes for each plot that you can pass on to tour home buyers’ legal representative

Your guide price will be based on the information you have provided and subject to current fees. If you require a firm quotation please complete a Site Notification and Initial Notice form. The SNIN form can be downloaded here.

Step 2 We will review the details and send you a guide price

Step 3 If you’re happy with the guide price, please complete a SNIN or, if your development is 8 storeys or higher, complete a Major Projects Application Form

Step 4 We will then contact you to explain all the steps involved in getting your plots registered and how you can provide details to your buyers’ legal representatives
