As the sole provider of Building Control services to Santander for the last 5 years, NHBC provides tailored national coverage for all branch and office work throughout England and Wales. Santander's portfolio of work involves branch refurbishments, alterations, the creation of new branches, and alterations and reconfigurations to existing office accommodation. Typical project values range between £40,000 - £900,000. A 12 month construction programme typically includes 60 projects.

Added value

Albeit a relatively straightforward scope of works, the fit-out element formed part of a complex high rise building. As a result, it was important to ensure that the works did not compromise the overall building fire strategy, this required the continuation of sprinkler coverage and ensuring the requisite levels of fire protection to the building structure was maintained. This required collaborative working with the client, the contractor, and our site inspection team.
