We are passionate about using our expertise, knowledge and experience to support the development of the next generation of house builders. We’ve created our apprenticeships with input from senior colleagues across house building to ensure that they meet the needs of the industry. Our fully qualified tutors use their own construction and training expertise to fully support and develop your apprentices.
If you’re considering an apprenticeship in house building, here’s some questions you might like to consider.
This apprenticeship offers the perfect start for anyone embarking on a career in site management. Construction Site Supervisors manage staff and subcontractors on building sites, and job titles include building site manager, site inspector and clerk of works.
At the end of this apprenticeship you’ll have an industry-recognised Level 4 qualification in Site Supervision and relevant CSCS card, ready to hit the ground running.
Co-created with industry experts and leading house builders, this apprenticeship will see you spending one day a week studying for a formal qualification alongside your employment.
There are ten modules delivered virtually by a residential construction-focused NHBC training professional over 62 weeks – so you can learn no matter where you’re based in the UK. The course content focuses on new-builds and meets the requirements of apprenticeship standard ST0048.

We think this apprenticeship is a game changer! After an initial 6 week block of intensive hands-on training at one of our unique training hubs, apprentices will join your site health and safety savvy and with sufficient basic skills to be able to positively contribute on day one.
After their initial 6 weeks they will return to the training hub for intensive 2 week blocks over the remainder of their 18 month programme. With block delivery all year round, 36 hour weeks within a site-like environment and a syllabus front-loaded to home building, we are excited to be launching our first hub in Tamworth early in 2021.
What you can expect
First 6 weeks - a continuous block of heavily practical sessions held at one of our training hubs. The hubs closely resemble a site compound with a large covered yet exposed central slab for all practical work providing comparable site working conditions. With each day running from 8:00 to 16:30, this initial six week period will be equivalent to an entire year’s day release at college.
By week 7 – apprentices will return to your sites, health and safety aware and able to carry out these tasks:
Remaining months – your apprentice will return to the hubs every 8-10 weeks to complete additional intensive two-week blocks of training. Without college term times and concentrated blocks of training your apprentice should be complete within 18 months, hopefully helping keep them fully engaged and motivated.
