Training course overview

This class-based course is our primary technical programme for Site Management Operatives.
It covers the requirements of the NHBC Standards and construction best practice for all major areas of high-rise construction.

Who should attend

This course is for any Site Managers, Assistant/Trainee Site Managers, Clerks of Works or anyone else who need a technical understanding of construction standards.

What you will learn

Day 1
Foundations - including Pile Caps & Reinforcement, Basements including; Types of waterproofing, Seals/ Hydrophilic strips & Day joints, Superstructure including: reinforcement & placing of concrete & Precast elements.
Day 2
Cavity Walls, Compartmentation, Cladding including; support and fixings, interfaces and fire stopping, Roofs including: flat roofs, sustainable roofs & balconies.
Day 3
Light steel frame including; deflection heads, separating walls & breather membranes, Doors and windows including: seals, Services including; fire stopping and an End of course assessment.
