Situated near to the village of Coity near Bridgend, this Pride in the Job regional award winning development features 124 new-build detached, semi-detached and terraced homes of traditional brick construction. NHBC supported Taylor Wimpey throughout the build process providing pre-planning design guidance and risk-based site inspections to ensure the smooth running of the build process.
Added value
Through the use of the My NHBC Portal, our free online project management system, site plans and details were securely submitted quickly to the projects dedicated NHBC surveyor, resulting in cost and time savings.
The efficiency of NHBC's type approval system allowed repeated designs to be used with layouts only needing to be approved once at design stage, giving Taylor Wimpey the peace of mind that their standard specification could be used repeatedly across the site.
Type approvals are increasingly important to customers now England and Wales are operating under different building regulations.
