Flexible and accessible to suit you
We deliver training through a variety of means to give you maximum choice in selecting what works best for you and your organisation. We have full courses lasting one to three days that can be delivered exclusively for a group from the same company or offered on an open basis for individuals to book onto. Our training is offered face-to-face or online. We also have national coverage with face-to-face courses being offered in a variety of different locations. You select the option that suits you best.

In-company training
We will work with you to identify training gaps in your business and recommend the right learning for your people. We provide an extensive range of training designed to raise standards, meet regulations and increase technical expertise, all of which can be provided on an exclusive in-company basis at your own offices, at ours or at another venue.
Our bespoke service allows you to customise our existing training courses to suit your specific needs and objectives, offering real flexibility.
Open courses
Individuals and small groups can book onto our wide range of open health and safety and technical training courses specifically for the house-building industry. Courses are held at locations nationwide as well as virtually online. Training is delivered by our experienced team of training professionals who ensure that content is always relevant and up to date. Delegates on these courses tend to come from a variety of employers.
Virtual learning
Nearly all of our face-to-face courses are also available for online delivery by our experienced and highly knowledgeable trainers.
Our Virtual Training programme covers key industry topics such as fire safety, cladding, timber frame, interpretation of different Approved Documents, the NHBC Standards, defects prevention, effective snagging and more. You can choose from a short webinar or a more in-depth course (typically half a day to a day) on these topics.
Trade Talks
These one-hour on-site modules are designed for specific trades, and are a quick and easy way to brush up on the most common quality issues facing trades today.
Delivered by NHBC Building Inspectors, we discuss practical guidance on how to prevent defects occurring. They can be delivered on or near your site, provided that a suitable room is available to seat the attendees, such as a large site office, canteen, nearly completed property, show house or another venue close to the site.
Online webinars
Our in-house experts deliver free, insightful and practical webinars across a broad range of subjects, including the NHBC Standards, interpretation of different Approved Documents, fire safety, defects prevention, our warranty products and more.
Our webinars offer bite-sized training that is highly accessible, usually 45-60 minutes long and most often running over lunchtime.
