Senior Data Enablement Manager

Salary: £90,000 - £94,000 plus 20% performance bonus

Working location: Milton Keynes

Job summary:

At NHBC, we’re on a mission to build trust in how data is used across our business, and we’re looking for a Senior Data Enablement Manager to lead the way. This is a pivotal role for someone who loves combining strategy with hands-on delivery, building confidence in data, and empowering people to use it well.

Reporting to the Chief Data and Architecture Officer, you’ll bring teams together across the organisation to improve data quality, strengthen governance, and nurture a data-driven culture where everyone can make informed decisions.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the rollout of NHBC’s data governance and quality framework
  • Champion a data as a product mindset, helping teams take ownership of their data
  • Establish clear roles, standards, and escalation routes for data stewardship
  • Drive continuous improvement in data quality and integrity
  • Embed governance and quality practices into business and digital initiatives
  • Design and deliver NHBC’s data literacy programme to upskill colleagues at all levels
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements
  • Support forums such as the Data Council and audit reviews
  • Lead and inspire a small, high-impact team focused on governance, quality, and engagement

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience in data governance, quality, or management leadership
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Practical experience implementing governance and quality frameworks
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • A confident, inclusive leadership style with a focus on delivery and impact
  • Understanding of frameworks such as DAMA or DCAM, and key concepts like metadata, lineage, and stewardship
  • A passion for enabling self-service and helping teams use data responsibly
