On this two-year programme, you will complete three six-month rotations in key areas of our business while making a real difference on live projects. Your last six months will be working on a project tied directly to our data and technology strategy. With a starting salary of £30,000, you’ll earn while you learn and there’s a guaranteed role for you at NHBC when you’ve completed it.

The graduate scheme for data doers
By the end of the scheme, you’ll be skilled in building data pipelines, models and dashboards, confident in developing digital solutions, experienced in identifying automation opportunities and able to improve system architecture and integration.
You’ll also be trained in agile methods and digital delivery, data literacy, management and governance, analysis, statistics and ethics, practical DevSecsOps, AI exploration and more.

Onboarding and induction
September 2026: You will complete our core Graduate Induction Programme.
Rotational placements
From October 2026 to September 2028, you'll complete three six-month rotations. These will include time spent in the development, innovation and data parts of our business. Your last six months will be working on a project tied directly to our data and technology strategy.
Offboarding
Upon successful completion of the programme, you will transition into a guaranteed role at NHBC, supporting data and technology. Where your ongoing professional development will continue to be supported.
Continuous development
Once you've moved into your new role, you'll continue to develop your skills via professional training appropriate to your new role.

Assessment centre and interview
You will be invited to an in-person assessment centre, where you will meet a variety of people from different departments and take part in group and individual activities followed by a face-to-face interview.

About the Graduate Scheme

This is a two-year programme where you’ll build practical skills in data and technology while working on projects that have real impact.
At NHBC, you’ll help improve how data is used to support decision-making and protect homeowners across the UK.

You’ll be involved in meaningful work from the start, including:
- building dashboards and analysing data
- developing and testing digital tools
- exploring AI and automation
- improving systems and security
- collaborating with teams across the organisation.

Over the two years, you will complete:
- three rotations (six months each) across different areas of data and technology
- one final six-month project to demonstrate your skills and experience.

Yes. You will move into a guaranteed role at NHBC on successful completion of the programme.

- Milton Keynes will be your main base.
- Hybrid working is in place, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
- Occasional travel to London may be required.

A STEM degree is helpful but not essential. We are particularly interested in:
- your interest in technology and any experience you may have
- your curiosity and problem-solving mindset

It would be an advantage to have some experience and knowledge that would support you. However, this programme is designed to support your development from the beginning of your career, so past experience is not strictly necessary.
