Practical support for those designing, specifying and constructing SuDS

This new report from CIRIA, developed with part-funding from the NHBC Foundation, provides practical support for those designing, specifying and constructing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).  It is available free of charge from CIRIA.

Managing flood risk continues to be a key priority for Government and in the draft London Environment Strategy, released earlier this autumn, the Mayor encouraged the use of sustainable drainage systems as a way to manage surface water (and deliver additional benefits for urban places, including improved air and water quality, greater biodiversity and reduced noise). As a result of this initiative and increased funding for water management across the country, we can expect to see a rise in the number of SuDS schemes being delivered in coming years.
