Job Role: National Claims & Repair Manager 

Salary: £80,000.00 - £92,000.00 (depending on experience) + 20% performance bonus

Working Location: Home based

Working arrangements: Requires traveling across the UK

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Job summary:

 

Responsible for the operational delivery and continuous improvement of Claims Investigations, Repair and Recoveries, ensuring processes and contracts are in place to achieve excellent results for policy holders and to manage costs appropriately.  The role requires regular interaction with Claims Senior Managers, Consumer Affairs, Legal, Procurement & Regional Directors.

Working closely with the Head of Investigation and Repair the role will manage delivery of key Service Level Agreements and builder relationships, acting as a key escalation point for both builders, claims staff and policy holders.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and deliver claims strategies with senior management
  • Plan national workload/resources to meet targets
  • Manage third-party repair network relationships and risks
  • Support recoveries performance and process improvement
  • Lead continuous improvement across investigation and repair
  • Approve claims (up to £100k) and recommend on higher-value cases
  • Ensure technical review of all recovery cases
  • Oversee QA to maintain standards and manage risk
  • Produce monthly performance reports
  • Manage repair contracts, costs, and rates
  • Ensure repairs meet quality, scope, and compliance standards
  • Build strong relationships with builders and attend meetings

What we’re looking for

  • Knowledge of construction and NHBC Technical Standards
  • Working knowledge of Buildmark Policy, and Insurance Principles
  • Building and maintaining relations with Builders and Contractors
  • Decision making
  • Ability to use data to spot trends.
  • IT literate, numerically competent, high standard of literacy.
  • An excellent communicator with proven negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to understand technical-based reports, problems and papers.
  • A solid understanding of NHBC Standards and Building Regulations.
  • Understanding of insurance/Buildmark policies
  • Manging relationships with large network provider and consultants
  • Chartered Member or working towards Chartered Membership of a recognised construction or managment related body (RICS, CIOB, CABE, CMI, CII, CILA)
  • Full UK driving licence.
