Event overview

Ground gas continues to create challenges on housing development sites, from initial assessments to installation and verification. Knowing how to manage it effectively is essential. This session brings together NHBC and industry experts to break down each sage of the process offering clear guidance, examples and insights drawn from real project experience.

Who should attend?

Whether you’re a builder, groundworker, consultant or regulator, this comprehensive session will equip you with practical knowledge to help you understand, assess and manage ground gas risks on your sites.

What's included?

Assessing and managing ground gas risks

Gain a clear understanding of how ground gas issues arise on residential developments and the challenges they create during assessment and management. This section provides an overview of the full risk assessment process, including how to identify potential hazards, evaluate site conditions and determine the appropriate level of protection needed.

Design, installation and verification

See what good design looks like when developing gas protection measures, with practical advice on selecting and specifying appropriate systems. You’ll learn how these measures should be installed on site, supported by real world insights from industry specialists, before taking a closer look at the verification process, why it matters, how it should be completed and examples of successful approaches through case studies.
