Tell us about the Commercial Services Department
Commercial services offer a wide range of services, including Construction Quality services, Data services, Customer satisfaction surveys and training so each day is varied and extremely busy, with around 100 members of staff.
Tell us about your career journey at NHBC
I started off as a temp in the training department in 2005, then got the opportunity to train as a building inspector in 2008. Following redundancy during the downturn in the market, I did a stint in claims as a resolution handler, then moved back to inspection two years later.
After four years as a building inspector, I started a secondment as a senior trainer. This was made permanent after one year following the birth of my daughter in 2008.
I joined the CQS team as a Senior Construction Quality Analyst. I was promoted to principal in 2022. Finally, I joined the Regional Director Group as the East Region RD in February this year.
What do you enjoy most about working at NHBC?
