Job role: Lead IQA
Salary: £42,000 to £50,000 + 10% performance bonus + up to £7,500 Regional Allowance depending on location.
Working Location: Home-based, Nationwide opportunity, requires frequent travel.
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent.
Job summary:
Note: Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced background check will be required and administered by NHBC, that could be subject to an offer being made.
- To support business planning and budget management for the NHBC training division.
- Oversee quality assurance processes for NVQs and apprenticeships, including observations and file checks.
- Provide constructive feedback and best practice recommendations to staff and managers following quality checks.
- Maintain and update training and quality improvement plans, ensuring they align with regulatory and sector changes.
- Work closely with customers, agencies, professional bodies, and government departments to meet quality standards and ensure compliance.
- Manage and maintain NHBC’s accreditations, including ESFA, OFSTED, CITB, and relevant awarding bodies.
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in internal verification of qualification assessments or education delivery, including investigation, analysis, and feedback.
- Extensive background in assessment or training delivery within the construction industry.
- Proven ability to coordinate delivery and assessment teams or lead internal verification.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at all levels.
- In-depth technical knowledge of house building and the relevant legislative framework.
Education and Qualifications
- Relevant Internal Verification qualification / certification such as D34, V1, TAQA (practical application).
- Relevant construction industry qualification at level 6 EG Construction Management Degree, NVQ Site Management or Senior Site Inspection or similar.
