Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience + 10% performance bonus

Job Summary
Are you ready to lay the foundations of the next generation’s success? We’re looking for an experienced bricklayer or construction professional to take the lead as a Senior Tutor for our Brickwork Apprenticeship programme. What you’ll be doing
Deliver engaging, hands-on training that’s practical, purposeful, and always delivered on time and on budget.
Lead apprenticeship training and assessments to hit both quality and performance targets.
Work closely with customers, awarding bodies and external agencies to ensure programmes meet expectations and maintain high standards.
Help uphold NHBC’s accreditations with Ofsted, ESFA and other awarding bodies through consistent quality assurance.
Collect and report key learner data and performance indicators to support ongoing improvement.
Track and maintain apprentice progress, keeping in line with Ofsted and ESFA compliance.
Adapt your training approach for different learning needs, ensuring all apprentices feel supported and included.
What we’re looking for
A proven track record in apprenticeship delivery with successful learner outcomes.
Solid, hands-on experience in construction – especially bricklaying in the new-build housing sector.
Timber frame or groundwork knowledge is a bonus.
Someone who’s made a real impact by improving how trade skills are delivered and learned.
Confident in interpreting NHBC Standards and turning them into meaningful, engaging training.
A natural coach and communicator who can influence and inspire people at all levels.
Organised and driven – able to meet deadlines while motivating others to do the same.
Education and Qualifications
Full UK driving licence
Minimum Level 2 Bricklaying qualification
Teaching qualification (or currently working towards one)
English & Maths qualifications at apprenticeship level or above
Working towards membership of a relevant professional body (we’ll support you!)
