Job summary:
We have an opportunity for a Senior Surveyor to specialise in Accepts Appraisals and build your expertise to become the go-to person in this dynamic and rapidly evolving field. As a Senior Surveyor with a focus on Accepts Appraisals, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of housing, driving industry standards, and ensuring that each project meets the highest level of safety and compliance.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Surveyor, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of housing, driving industry standards, and ensuring that each project meets the highest level of safety and compliance.
You’ll have the chance to develop expert knowledge in this niche area of building control, working alongside a skilled team to manage critical risks, ensuring that warranty products and building control applications meet all statutory and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with NHBC and HSE requirements for personal safety and that of others.
- Deliver technical presentations to both internal and external customers where required.
- Assist with training, coaching and mentoring of others as required.
- Manage own workload and allocated tasks by Inspection Manager and Peer Group 1-3 builders to ensure relevant SLA’s are achieved.
- Take responsibility for the assessment of building regulation and warranty applications for residential developments and associated non-residential uses typically over 11 metres high.
- Assist in implementing business efficiencies and opportunities for growth of the business.
What we’re looking for
- Senior level experience in the building / construction industry.
- Experience of plan appraisal of residential developments and associated non-residential uses.
- Experience in training and mentoring.
- Proven ability to make pragmatic and value decisions on compliance with Building Regulations and NHBC Standards.
- IT literate with the ability to use a range of software programs.
- Wider knowledge of Technical Operation SOPs, company Systems & processes.
- Thorough knowledge of NHBC SOPS and systems relevant Specialism.
- Significant knowledge of construction l issues and relevant standards/legislation.
- Chartered membership of an appropriate professional institution.
- Relevant accredited HND/HNC qualification or substantial industry experience.
