Job role: Actuarial Data Analyst
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + 6% performance bonus
Working location: Hybrid – 1 to 2 days a month in our Milton Keynes office

Job summary:
We’re looking for a skilled Actuarial Data Analyst with an eye for detail and a passion for turning complex insurance data into clear, actionable insights. Joining our Actuarial Analytics and Business Insights team, you’ll play a key role in building, maintaining, and improving our Power BI reports, helping the business make confident decisions. This is a great opportunity for someone with insurance industry experience to make a real impact, while also developing their skills in tools like Power Query and Snowflake, with plenty of room for career growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintaining and enhancing our Power BI reports to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Supporting the comparison of Power BI and legacy Tableau reports for ongoing projects
- Running and updating monthly reporting cycles
- Building new Power BI reports to meet business needs
- Using Power Query to optimise reports (where experience allows)
- Working with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide clear, meaningful analysis
- Helping with the transition of data systems from SQL/Access to Snowflake
- Collaborating with actuarial, data, and business teams to deliver insight
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience working with Power BI in a data or MI analyst role
- Insurance industry knowledge (essential). General insurance is preferred, with actuarial experience a plus
- Strong skills in SQL and DAX, with Power Query experience highly desirable
- Comfortable with data analysis, validation, and producing clear visualisations
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while collaborating with multiple teams
- Strong communication skills to explain data findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Bonus points for Snowflake or data migration project experience
- Degree in a maths, statistics, or similar numerate discipline
