Andrew brings a unique combination of academic knowledge and industry experience. With a degree in sports technology, he started as a trainee quantity surveyor and building surveyor before joining NHBC. Since 2016, he’s been helping to shape our qualifications and ensure they remain engaging and relevant. Andrew’s commitment to quality is backed by regular CPD, making sure our delivery methods are as strong as our technical content.

My role is to manage the implementation of NVQs and support this with the CSSA programme.
I have a degree in sports technology and building surveying. I started my career as a trainee quantity surveyor and building surveyor before moving to NHBC claims.
I joined the training team at the end of 2016, working as a trainer and then NVQ assessor.
As will be important for you in your career, I attend and record relevant training and CPD to support and develop in my role.
This can look like training from Ofsted, training delivery experts within current techniques for making training engaging, shadowing sessions and attending industry standardisation days.
