Newcastle Training Hub
A training hub in the North East for bricklaying and groundworker apprenticeships

Located in the heart of the North East, the Newcastle Training Hub supports the region’s growing demand for skilled trades in bricklaying and groundworking. It plays a key role in supplying site-ready apprentices to local house builders and subcontractors across Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham.
Built in partnership with Keepmoat Homes, New Tyne West Development Company, Newcastle City Council, North of Tyne Combined Authority and Homes England, the hub sits within The Rise - a £265 million regeneration project delivering 1,800 new homes.
The Newcastle training hub will train over 100 apprentices annually, using an intensive deliver model with multiple intakes throughout the year.
Our training hubs offer
Realistic site experience from day one
Apprentices are immersed in realistic site conditions, working on concrete slabs, building full-scale structures and following real site hours and safety standards. This practical approach builds confidence and contributes to our industry-leading retention rate.
Accelerated, front-loaded training
Our intensive delivery model builds core skills and training upfront, enabling apprentices to return to site ready to contribute. Accelerated learning enables apprentices to complete their qualifications in 14–18 months, nearly twice as fast as traditional routes.
Flexible, focused delivery
With multiple intake dates and smaller cohort sizes, our training hubs offer more one-to-one training and a structured learning environment that adapts to the needs of both apprentices and employers.
Location and facilities
Located on the outskirts of Newcastle, this purpose-built facility includes:
- convenient access from Newcastle city centre and surrounding areas
- dedicated classrooms, welfare areas and canteen
- a large outdoor concrete slab designed for building substantial training structures.
