A training hub in Cambridgeshire for bricklaying, groundworker and timber trades
Positioned to support demand across the East of England, the Northstowe Training Hub focuses on trades most in demand for building homes — bricklaying, groundworking and timber trades.
Delivered in partnership and built by Keepmoat, with land and support provided by Homes England, the Northstowe Training Hub is part of our £100 million investment to expand our network and launch 12 new training hubs, helping to train 3,000 site-ready tradespeople every year.
The Northstowe Training Hub will train over 200 apprentices annually, using an intensive delivery model with multiple intakes throughout the year.
Our training hubs offer:
Realistic site experience from day one
Apprentices are immersed in realistic site conditions, working on concrete slabs, building full-scale structures and following real site hours and safety standards. This practical approach builds confidence and contributes to our industry-leading retention rate.
Accelerated, front-loaded training
Our intensive delivery model builds core skills and training up front, enabling apprentices to return to site ready to contribute. Accelerated learning enables apprentices to complete their qualifications in 14 to 18 months –nearly twice as fast as traditional routes.
Flexible, focused delivery
With multiple intake dates and smaller cohort sizes, our training hubs offer more one-to-one training and a structured learning environment that adapts to the needs of both apprentices and employers.
Location and facilities
Located in Northstowe, Cambridgeshire, this purpose-built facility:
- replicates site conditions
- features three large outdoor concrete slabs designed for building substantial training structures, including masonry and timber-based structures
- includes dedicated classrooms, welfare areas and canteen.

Bricklaying apprenticeship - Level 2

Bricklaying apprenticeship - Level 3
Upskill your workforce with advanced bricklaying techniques and NHBC Standards-driven training, perfect for those ready to take the next step in their career.
Groundworker apprenticeship - Level 2
Develop groundworkers from the ground up with hands-on training. Ideal for entry-level apprentices ready to contribute on site from day one.
Timber Frame Installer apprenticeship - Level 2
Develop skilled timber frame installers with quality-focused training.
