Job Role: Third-Party Risk Manager  

Salary: £68,000.00 - £82,000.00 (depending on experience) + 15% performance bonus

Working Location: Milton Keynes/Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Working arrangements: 2 days in the office, Tue is set day

 

Job summary:

 

The Senior Procurement Business Partner - Digital Services  is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing, commercial negotiation, and supplier management of all Digital Services (DS) related products and services within NHBC. This includes cloud services, software licensing, cybersecurity, data platforms, telecommunications, technology transformation programmes and outsourced managed service arrangements.

The role will also provide leadership to one direct report, supporting their development, capability growth, and delivery of procurement activities.

The position ensures value for money, robust third‑party risk management, regulatory compliance, and strong supplier performance, directly supporting NHBC’s DS strategy and operational resilience commitments.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead DS category strategy and end-to-end sourcing across IT, cloud, SaaS, and outsourcing.
  • Run RFI/RFPs, market analysis, and negotiate complex IT contracts and supplier agreements.
  • Ensure procurement aligns with FCA/PRA governance and third-party risk requirements.
  • Manage key suppliers, performance (SLAs/KPIs), risk, and contract lifecycle.
  • Drive cost optimisation, innovation, and strong commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, IT, Security, and Finance on compliance, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Maintain contract records and provide spend, savings, and performance insights.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to stakeholders and represent Procurement in governance forums.
  • Line manage and develop one direct report while fostering a high-performing team culture.

What we’re looking for

  • Extensive experience in digital/IT procurement, sourcing, and transformation (cloud, SaaS, outsourcing).
  • Strong knowledge of IT domains (cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, DevOps) and complex systems.
  • Proven ability to negotiate high-value contracts and deliver cost savings and commercial value.
  • Skilled in supplier management, risk assessment, and TCO optimisation.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, including C-suite engagement.
  • Effective communicator of complex risks to non-commercial audiences.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and strong in governance, reporting, and prioritisation.
  • Confident negotiator and collaborative leader with people management experience.
