George Paynton, Construction Site Supervisor Apprentice for Ridgepoint Homes

George began his apprenticeship with Ridgepoint Homes in April 2021, after previously working in IT sales.

He says:

“The apprenticeship is great.  I am beginning to take further responsibility on site and am really throwing myself out of my comfort zone.

“The tutors have provided continuous support throughout. Completing my first plots for handover was a big challenge, but I have thrived on it and received positive feedback from managers and mentors. I have also achieved a high average on my coursework which I am extremely happy with!

“Take the apprenticeship route, 100%. I am learning on and off the job and feeling more confident in my role each day.”
