My name is Colin and I'm a First Contact Advisor. 

A First Contact advisor is responsible for setting up and processing new insurance claims. This involves taking inbound phone calls and also making outbound calls when processing claims submitted online via the NHBC website. Homeowners will contact us for advice regarding their policy cover and to find out if they are covered by the policy for any damage to their home. Advisors are responsible for explaining the policy cover and if not covered, declining claims and providing the reasons why. 

Being a good listener, a willingness to help people, a good communicator and an eye for detail are some of the skills and qualities required in this role. The comprehensive training and support provided by the NHBC combined with a willingness to learn will also help you to become successful in this role.
