I believe people think the job is easy, it comes with very little responsibility and I'm only there to find fault, which is very untrue.
My role is to help raise quality and protect homeowners.
The building industry is constantly evolving and it creates a lot of challenges along the way.
I strive to be good at my job. I work hard to ensure I'm consistently improving my knowledge and building strong working relationships with site teams, which I feel is highly respected regardless of my gender.
Since joining NHBC in 2019, I've been thoroughly supported by colleagues and managers throughout my progression journey to where I am now.
I have also built great relationships with my inspection team, which means we collaborate extremely well and share success.
NHBC have funded all of my training, including my MVQ Level 6 and BSR accreditation.
