Political and industry engagement
High-level political events
NHBC regularly hosts high-level events, with political speakers including the MHCLG Secretary of State, the Housing Minister and Shadow Ministers. We have offices in London and Milton Keynes and are delighted to be able to offer these spaces to policymakers as a platform for speeches or announcements.
As well as hosting regular policy roundtables drawing together key stakeholders from across the industry with policymakers, NHBC hosts annual events at the party conferences to contribute to current debates around housing.
IHHWC Dublin 2020
The 15th International Housing and Home Warranty Conference (IHHWC) took place 20-25 September in Dublin, kindly hosted by Homebond.
Every three years, industry experts, construction professionals and decision-makers gather from more than 25 countries to meet at this exciting international conference. The conference was supported by the International Housing and Home Warranty Association (IHHWA) – which is chaired by NHBC – and the International Housing Association (IHA). The comprehensive and wide-ranging agenda will provide all attending an opportunity to explore the relevant housing issues of the day, build connections, share business intelligence and learn from each other.

Supporting international best practice in housing standards
The Corporate and External Affairs team is active in programmes to promote the UK's leadership on build quality and share best practice with international partners.
NHBC chairs and provides the Secretariat to the International Housing and Home Warranty Association (IHHWA), is represented on the Association of European Home Warranty Organisations (AEHWO), and provides the secretariat to the Consortium of European Building Control (CEBC).
