Generous staff at Knowlhill-based NHBC have handed over a seasonal donation to the Milton Keynes Food Bank, having supported the branch throughout 2018.

The Food Bank, in Stacey Bushes, relies entirely on donations of food and money from local schools, churches, businesses, organisations and individuals.

NHBC staff’s last donation before Christmas included a range of festive treats alongside  everyday items such as pasta, tinned food and tea bags.

John Marshall, Project Manager at the MK Food Bank said: We are very grateful to everyone at NHBC who has contributed to the Christmas appeal and for the support throughout the year.

“It comes at a very demanding time of year for those currently struggling in the community and this latest donation will help see us through the festive period and into the first part of 2019.”

NHBC Chief Executive Steve Wood added: “The MK Food Bank does a wonderful job for people in the local area and we are committed to continuing our support. We hope that we have played a small role in improving the lives of those who use the food bank.”
