David Melding AM visits quality new homes in Llanwern

David Melding AM visited a new award winning development in Llanwern with NHBC to see how the site is delivering much needed, quality new homes for the region.

The Shadow Minister for Housing paid a visit to Bellway Homes’ Monks Meadow site, close to Newport city centre. In 2018 the site manager won an NHBC Pride in the Job Award for managing the site.

He was shown around the site by representatives from Bellway Homes and Paul Edwards, NHBC’s Regional Director.

NHBC is the leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes in the UK.

David Melding AM said: “I was so pleased to visit this development. It really does show the best of what can be achieved from the regeneration of brownfield sites in Wales, resulting in the delivery of a significant amount of new homes at a high standard”.

Paul Edwards added: “We were extremely pleased to be able to show Mr Melding around this great development, as Bellway is helping to provide high-quality new homes for people living in and around the Newport area. All homes built on the site also benefit from the 10-year NHBC Buildmark warranty.”
