Dr Matthew Offord MP visits award-winning development in Hendon

On Friday 26th July, Dr Matthew Offord MP visited a new award-winning development in Hendon with NHBC, the leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes in the UK, to see how the site is delivering much needed, quality new homes for the area.

Dr Offord praised Barratt London’s Hendon Waterside, a large development with playgrounds and open spaces and close to shops and restaurants. He was hosted by Mehban Chowdery, NHBC Regional Director and Danny Farenden, Project Director at Barratt London, as well as Barratt Senior Project Manager Sury Patel, who in 2018 was awarded a Seal of Excellence at NHBC’s Pride in the Job Awards.

Dr Offord was shown how construction is progressing on the site, which will eventually provide over 2,000 new homes for the local area. During the visit, it was discussed how NHBC works with builders to raise standards and increase the quality of new homes, the mixture of tenures across the development, as well as the plans for the forthcoming stages of construction.

Located in Zone 3 and next to the Welsh Harp Reservoir, Hendon Waterside is a great addition to the area.
