NHBC welcomes new Non-Executive Directors to Board

NHBC, the leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes in the UK, has today announced the appointment of Philip Rycroft and Alison Burns as independent non-executive directors.

Philip was most recently Permanent Secretary for the Department for Exiting the EU, leading a 730-strong department, and was also Head of UK Governance Group for the Cabinet Office. He was previously Director General at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister during the Coalition, having originally joined the Scottish Office at the start of a governmental career spanning 30 years.

Alison joins NHBC having held director-level roles at a number of major insurance and financial service organisations, including Aviva – as CEO of Aviva Ireland, Lloyds TSB and AXA. She is currently a non-executive director at Equiniti PLC and Hastings plc.

NHBC Chair Isabel Hudson said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome both Philip and Alison to NHBC’s Board of Directors. Philip brings a wealth of experience from his 30 years in government which culminated in leading on cross-government preparedness for Brexit and Alison will be a significant asset with her extensive background within financial services.”
