Pride in the Job at 40: What it means to us – John Greggain, Managing Director at L Greggain & Co Ltd.

Established in the early 1960s, Pembrokeshire-based L Greggain & Co is a family business in the truest sense.
Four generations have been involved in the running of the company, now managed by PiJ Supreme and multiple Quality Award winner John Greggain.
Having survived the pandemic – which included an eight-week shutdown, John and the 30-strong team are now back on site delivering new, high-quality homes in Milford Haven.
John, a former Royal Marine who spent almost a decade in service in the mid-80s, explains why NHBC’s flagship competition is important to L Greggain & Co:
“I was lucky enough to be named as the Supreme winner in the small builder category in 2016 and runner-up in 2017 at the Gala event in London.
“To be honoured alongside your peers was a very special moment for me, the family and the entire business.
“Since my grandfather started the company back in 1962, the touchstones of ‘quality’ and ‘family’ have always been at the centre of everything we do – and certainly our successes within PIJ over the years have been the icing on the cake.
“We know that the judging process is extremely robust and independent – which makes those winning moments even more special.
“Even though it was my name on the trophy, a PIJ commendation at any level reflects upon the whole team and we all realise that this is down to the individual efforts of everyone.
“We are all looking forward to being involved in this year’s regional events, in what will be a very different scenario for everyone concerned.
