FAQS

What is the NHCP?

The New Homes Community Panel (NHCP) is made up of people who have purchased a new-build home in the last 10 years and still live in it.  It is managed and run by NHBC.

I don’t remember joining. When did I do that?

You will most likely have joined the New Homes Community Panel a few months after you moved into your new home. We asked if you’d like to join when you completed the National New Homes Survey and we sent you a short online ‘qualification’ survey for the New Homes Community Panel at that time so we could understand a bit more about you and make sure you were only invited to surveys that were relevant to you.

Why are we getting in touch?

For some members of the panel, it may have been a while since they heard from us. Given this elapsed time, it’s possible that their circumstances may have changed and it is important we give everyone the opportunity to update their information. We are encouraging all panel members to respond, even if their details haven’t changed, as this confirms they are still happy to be part of the New Homes Community Panel (NHCP).

How do I update my details?

To update your details, please click on the survey link in the email. Each link is unique which is why we can’t include it here in the FAQs.

I haven’t heard from you for ages, do you still need me to be a part of the NHCP?

Yes! We absolutely want you to still be part of the NHCP community.  Even if you haven’t been asked to take part in an NHCP survey for a long time, your opinion will always matter.  If you’re not part of the New Homes Community Panel, you won’t get the chance to contribute and share your views.

I’m happy to still be in the panel. Do I have to do anything?

Thank you, that’s great. And yes please – we’d like you to click through to the short survey (link in the email) as this confirms you’re still happy to be part of the New Homes Community Panel.  The survey has only got a few questions and they’re focussed on you and your new-build home.

I’ve moved home. Can I still be part of the New Homes Community Panel?

Yes, possibly. The questions in the update survey cover this. By answering those questions, it will determine whether you remain eligible to be part of the NHCP.  If the home you have moved to is older than 10 years, unfortunately you will no longer be eligible. In this instance, we’d ask that you use the ‘unsubscribe’ option in the email in order to be removed from the panel.

I don’t want to be part of the panel anymore. Do I need to do anything?

We’ll be sorry to see you go and thank you for being part of the panel.  Please use the ‘unsubscribe’ link in your email to remove yourself from the panel. We won’t send you any more NHCP surveys if you do this.

My home is older than 10 years. Can I still be part of the NHCP?

The New Homes Community Panel members live in properties that are under 10 years old. If your home is older than 10 years you are no longer eligible to be part of the panel.

My query is not answered here. Where do I go now?
