Trusted

Our purpose is to build confidence in the construction quality of new homes. As the UK’s leading provider of warranty and insurance for new homes, we are recognised and trusted by homeowners and builders alike.

Your career with us

We pride ourselves on the expertise of our people and offer learning and development opportunities throughout our colleagues’ careers with us.

Your onboarding and induction experience begins as soon as you sign your contract, with access to our learning and development platform so you can learn more about the business, its policies and our people before joining. When you start, you’ll have a thorough induction tailored to your role and business area.

From there, we encourage all colleagues to work with their line manager to agree a personal development plan each year – whether they are new to the business or an aspiring future leader. In addition to compulsory regulatory training, you will have access to a wide range of resources to help develop your technical, professional and personal skills. Our qualified Mind Gym coaches deliver topics that are relevant to both your development and business activity, in bite-size, interactive sessions.

Promoting diversity and inclusion

We are committed to promoting and encouraging diversity and inclusion in everything we do, mirroring the wider community to help us to better serve our customers, consumers and colleagues. At NHBC you can be assured of:

  • Blind recruitment used as standard practice for each and every role

  • An “always happy to talk flexible working” approach

  • A gender balanced Executive Committee

  • Diversity networks for our LGBT+, BAME colleagues and their allies, as well as a Women’s network
